My 2017 book on Walter Tull, which is about the first black officer to lead white troops in to battle during the First World War, and who was killed in action in March 1917, has been receiving some interest of late.
An interested party has now taken out a twelve month option to purchase the TV rights to the book, which in essence means they now have twelve months to go away and find the funding for the project, whilst ensuring nobody else can purchase the TV rights in the mean time.
There are of course no guarantees that anything will actually come from it, but it certainly is a step in the right direction, so in the meantime I will keep my fingers crossed, and watch this space. I will keep you informed about how events develop.
